Student Exhibitions & Graduate Showcases

Product Design exhibitions at SETU present the culmination of studio-based learning, applied research, and hands-on prototyping across the programme. The exhibitions showcase student work developed through live projects, independent studio briefs, and final-year design investigations, reflecting the breadth of product design practice from early concept development to resolved outcomes.

Exhibitions give students the opportunity to communicate their ideas publicly, engage with industry, and present work in a professional context. For visitors, they offer insight into the design process, making culture, and critical thinking that underpin Product Design education at SETU. For students, exhibitions form a key moment in portfolio development, marking the transition from academic study to professional practice or further research.

Student exhibitions at SETU bring together work from the BA in Design (Level 7), BA (Hons) Product Design Innovation (Level 8), and the MA in Interaction Design, creating a shared platform for exchange across undergraduate and postgraduate study. This cross-level interaction highlights the continuity of design education at SETU, from foundational skills and applied studio projects at Level 7, through advanced self-directed investigations at Level 8, to research-led, digitally focused work at postgraduate level. Exhibiting alongside peers from different programmes supports dialogue, mentorship, and critical reflection, while showcasing the breadth of product, interaction, and user-centred design across the SETU design community.
